UFC 147 was held at the Estardio Jornalista Felipe Drumond in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The main event saw Rich Franklin take on Wanderlei Silva for the second time, the first was on UFC 99 where Franklin won the fight via Unanimous Decision after 3 rounds. Todays fight also went the distance except this time it was over 5 rounds and it was a back and forth battle and when it was all over Rich Franklin walked away with another unanimous decision.

Also on the card was the finals for The Ultimate Fighter Brazil series, in the Middleweight final Cezar Ferreira defeated Sergio Moraes via unanimous decision to get the UFC contract. The winner of the featherweight final was Rony Mariano Bezerra who defeated Godofredo pepey via unanimous decision
