Cage Fighting Championship will hold its 12th event in Sydney this weekend, this show will feature some of the top fighters listed in the infinitemma.com rankings fighting to see who is number 1. The event will be held at Horden Pavillion on Friday March 12th and there are still some tickets available for the event by going to Ticketek

The main event will see Hector Lombard take on Art Santori, Hector at 1.06 is heavy favourite over Art at 8.00. The other title fight between Gustavo Falciroli and Richard Vas has Vas at 1.60 as favourite over Falciroli at 2.10

BJJ New Zealand held there No Gi competition yesterday at Auckland University of Technology on the North Shore. There was a huge turnout with very strong teams from Gracie Barra, Will Machado, Douglas Santos, and Tukaha. The level keeps improving in New Zealand with bigger Blue and Purple belt divisions and more people entering the white belt division
Lucas Costa from Douglas Jiu Jitsu took out the Purple belt under 73kg division, Daniel Digby from Will Machado took out the Purple belt under 88kg division and Gareth Lewis from Will Machado took out the over 98kg Purple belt division.

Infinitemma.com is proud to release its February Australian and New Zealand MMA Fighter Rankings, The ranking will be released in the first week of every month and be decided by the staff of infinitemma.com. To start we will be doing the top 5 Australian MMA Fighters and the top 3 New Zealand MMA Fighters, but over time this will ideally expand to a top 10 in each country for each weight division
There we no movements in the rankings this month in either New Zealand or Australia. We did see some of the ranked fighters solidify there positions as number 1 in there weight division by winning fights on UFC 110 in Sydney. James TeHuna beat Igor Pokrajac via decision and George Sotiropoulos won a very convincing decision over Joe Stevenson and secured his place as a contender in the Lightweight division of UFC. Anthony Perosh Stepped up a weight class and fought Mirko Crocop on 2 days notice, a note that he took this fight on 2 days notice when Mirko's original opponent withdrew. Anthony lost the fight but secured a contract with UFC for taking the fight on short notice
March will be a huge month for MMA in Australia and New Zealand with Cage Fighting Championship holding and event, Rize holding there first Cage event and some other smaller events happening around the region. Feathweight number 1 ranked Fighter Gustavo Falciroli will take on the number 2 ranked Fighter Richard Vaculik at CFC 12, which will be the first time that the number 1 & 2 ranked fighters have fought each other since the implementation of the ranking system. Lightweight number 2 ranked fighter Adrian Pang and Number 3 ranked fighter Bernardo ‘Trekko’ Magalhaes are scheduled to fight at CFC 12 in March. New Zealand Welterweight number 1 ranked fighter Rod MacSwain and Number 2 ranked fighter Daniel Digby will fight on RIze 4 for the title.
