Daniel Cormier Defeats Lucas Browne on Xtreme MMA 2

Xtreme MMA hosted its second show in Sydney last night with the card featuring local and international fighters, with the main events being Australasia v USA. The main event saw undefeated Sydney fighter Lucas Browne from Elite Fight Gym take on Daniel Cormier from USA, Daniel is an Olympic wrestler who trains out of American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose.  The fight was a classic striker v grappler match with Lucas having never really been tested on the ground in a Match. Daniel took it down and controlled the fight with his wrestling skills, landing some big shots. When Daniel gained mount and really unloaded he opened a big cut on Lucas's head and the referee stepped in and stopped the fight.

Former K1 Oceania Champion Peter Graham from Sydney took on former K1 USA Champion Carter Williams. This was a standup fight in MMA gloves with both guys showing some great striking skills with Peter taking the win via GnP in the 1st Round

New Zealand Fighter Aaron Boyes stepped up on very short notice to fight Bobby Southworth who was the former Strikeforce Light heavy weight champion. The fight did not stay standing for very long and while Aaron tried hard to defend and get back to his feet Bobby was to good and eventually the fight was stopped when the referee decided Aaron was unable to defend himself from the Ground and Pound 

Api Hemira from 5 Ring s on the Gold Coast Took on American Fighter Marvin Eastman, this was a closer fight with both fighters showing some good stand up but Marvin took the fight in the 3rd round via TKO from Ground and Pound.   

Xtreme will return to Sydney in November for there 3rd show where Big Jim Yorke will take on Lucas Browne in a long anticipated match. Yorke made quick work of Felise Leniu on last nights show after his opponent changed due to a difference in weights.
