Three World Title fights headline the start to the 2010 Cage Fighting Championship series; it’s the biggest event CFC has staged and features Australia’s most talented fighters. 5 time Champion Hector Lombard returns to defend his Middleweight title against Art Santori from Dan Henderson’s Team Quest USA. Lightweight Champion Adrian ‘the Hunter’ Pang will be defending his title for the first time when he takes on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu expert Bernardo Trekko. Sydney’s Ritchie Vas, a professional big wave surfer who is currently undefeated in MMA puts it all on the line when he takes on Perth based Brazilian Gustavo Falciroli for the coveted Bantam weight title. This event is supported with a full undercard.

Cage Fighting Championship will hold its 12th event in Sydney this weekend, this show will feature some of the top fighters listed in the infinitemma.com rankings fighting to see who is number 1. The event will be held at Horden Pavillion on Friday March 12th and there are still some tickets available for the event by going to Ticketek

BJJ New Zealand held there No Gi competition yesterday at Auckland University of Technology on the North Shore. There was a huge turnout with very strong teams from Gracie Barra, Will Machado, Douglas Santos, and Tukaha. The level keeps improving in New Zealand with bigger Blue and Purple belt divisions and more people entering the white belt division

Lucas Costa from Douglas Jiu Jitsu took out the Purple belt under 73kg division, Daniel Digby from Will Machado took out the Purple belt under 88kg division and Gareth Lewis from Will Machado took out the over 98kg Purple belt division.

Toowoomba played host to Underground MMA 4 Cage Fighting Series on Friday night at USQ Clive Berghofer Recreation Centre, the show is one of Australia’s most popular amateur MMA shows and gives fighters a chance to test there skills in the cage. The main event saw local fighter Pete Davis take on Chris Bridgewater, the fight was exciting and Chris won the fight towards the end of rd 1 via tko.

Josh Webb from Rings Toowoomba and Khris Tassoti from Integrated Martial Arts Hervey Bay contested the co main event and Kris won the fight via unanimous decision after 3 very hard rounds of action

ICNZ held its 9th show at the Auckland Boxing Association today, it has proven to be the most successful MMA show in New Zealand with another sell out crowd. The show featured a mix of A and B Class bouts and had everything from tough decisions, submissions and KO’s.

The main event was between Luke Jumeau and Brad Hendra. Both guys came in looking in great shape and the fight was quite even with both guys working well in standup and on the ground, Luke took the fight with an armbar in Round 2. Kingi Williams beat Dalrae Robati in the first round via rear choke in the other A Class bout of the show
