Lucas Browne Beats Sam Brown on Kings of Kombat

Kings of Kombat was held in Keysborough, the show was mainly kickboxing with a couple of MMA fights. Lucas Big Daddy Browne ranked number 2 in Australia in the infinitemma.com rankings took on Sam Brown who is ranked number 1 in New Zealand infinitemma.com rankings. Lucas won the fight via KO in the second round. Also Tui Wright beat More Mehau via TKO in round 1 and Fred Tagaolo beat Keiran  Smith in round 1.

The main event for the ISKA World KB Tiltle saw Peter Graham take on Doug Viney, Peter won the fight in the 5th round via KO. Paul Slowinski beat Sio Vitale via rd 1 KO.

Melbourne Martial Arts Brute Force 12 - ‘It’s Time’ will take place on 27th August in Melbourne, the show ill feature a mix of Kickboxing and MMA. There are 5 MMA bouts confirmed, with fighters from Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia.

Peter Aberdeen from New Zealand will take on Michael Van Der Vlist from Elite Fight Gym in Sydney in a light heavyweight bout. Also Leigh Allwood from Melbourne martial Arts will take on another local fighter Stephen Pebbles from Team Nemesis in what looks to be an exciting bout.

Lucas Browne v Sam Brown on Kings of Kombat

Lucas Browne from Penrith Elite in Sydney will take on Sam Brown from Strikeforce New Zealand on the upcoming Kings of Kombat show in Melbourne on the 29th August. Lucas is coming off a loss to Daniel Cormier on Xtreme MMA 2 in Sydney in July, Sam Brown won his fight against Ronny Sefo via decision on the same show.

Also on the card Peter Graham will return to kickboxing to take on New Zealands Doug Viney for the ISKA world title. Jordan Tai from New Zealand will return to kickboxing to take on Steve Moxon from NSW in what is expected to be a very exciting fight. Both Doug and Jordan have been training in Las Vegas with Ray Sefo and his team.

Also the 145kg Terror Mr Tui Tagaolo Wright will be returning to fight MMA  against a yet to be named opponent

Fight for Life 2010 Seminar

One of the founding instructors of Idokan Australia and Bushido Instructors Association is "fighting for her life" against cancer.  Sensei Wendy Carroll is a well respected instructor in the martial art community.

Those that meet Wendy are always impressed with her enthusiasm for life.  Two years ago Wendy was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer with a 6cm tumour.  Wendy was told by her doctors that she should "put her affairs in order".  Refusing to be beaten Wendy had a mastectomy and underwent aggressive chemotherapy and radiotherapy.  To her doctors surprise she survived the ordeal.  Not only that but she reopened  her dojo in Warrandyte and went to an intensive two week Jujutsu seminar in Kyoto, Japan where she was examined for her 4th Dan Jujutsu by the Honbu members of the Dai Nippon Butoku Kai.
