On Saturday October 23 – Sunday October 24, 2010 in the Randwick Pavilion at the Royal Randwick Racecourse, Visitors and Exhibitors will witness the largest meeting place for Mixed Martial Arts Fans, Businesses, Instructors, Celebrities and Competitors ever in Australia. With 1700 square metres of floor space, plenty of free parking space, over 70 expected exhibitor trade stands, 10,000 plus visitors and free stage demonstrations running throughout each day… this will be the Ultimate Mixed Martial Arts experience.

Ultimate MMA Expo has been designed and created to better serve and bring together the Mixed Martial Arts community. This will be Australia's most prestigious gathering of martial arts experts, premier athletes, top-notch suppliers and special guest appearances.

Australian Fighting Championships (AFC) is a new fight promotion that will make its debut in Melbourne, Victoria this November.

The event will be promoted by William Fagan (pictured) from Underdog Promotions Pty Ltd, who has had a strong interest in all things Martial Arts since an early kid.

Fight News Australia was able to catch up with Fagan to find out his goals and ambitions.

Brace for War 6 is set to take place in Townsville on 13th November. Brad Morris was set to take on Fabiano Scherner, but Brace have released the following press release

Stepping in to take his place is Undefeated TSV local Josh "Yogi" Ogilvie. Currently Ranked No.5 in the country, Josh will now take on 2 time UFC heavy weight fighter Brad Morris for the Brace Heavy Weight

Lucas Browne from Penrith Elite in Sydney will take on Sam Brown from Strikeforce New Zealand on the upcoming Kings of Kombat show in Melbourne on the 29th August. Lucas is coming off a loss to Daniel Cormier on Xtreme MMA 2 in Sydney in July, Sam Brown won his fight against Ronny Sefo via decision on the same show.

Also on the card Peter Graham will return to kickboxing to take on New Zealands Doug Viney for the ISKA world title. Jordan Tai from New Zealand will return to kickboxing to take on Steve Moxon from NSW in what is expected to be a very exciting fight. Both Doug and Jordan have been training in Las Vegas with Ray Sefo and his team.

Also the 145kg Terror Mr Tui Tagaolo Wright will be returning to fight MMA  against a yet to be named opponent

Proud Warrior Productions is back with another exciting instalment of Martial Arts action at Sharks Leagues Club, Cronulla. On November 13 the warriors will once again be ready to rumble, with some of Australia’s finest Mixed Martial Arts and Kickboxing fighters set to meet in the ring for PWP2.

This highly anticipated event will be filmed in high definition and broadcast on free-to-air sports channel 1HD.

This huge card is headlined by Heavyweight legend ‘Big’ Jim York taking on Canadian Mike ‘the Librarian’ Martelle. Big Jim, who made a name for himself fighting in Sengoku, Japan, and has recently been making waves on Australian shores winning his last two fights via early submissions. Canadian Mike Martelle is a true Mixed Martial Artist and a veteran of the sport, and is coming off 5 solid wins in 2010.

Other local favorites Bernardo ‘Treko’ Magalhaes, Manuel ‘Chalate’ Rodriguez and Renato Vieira are set to take on team Hawaii from Egan Inoue’s legendary gym. CFC Lightweight Champion Bernardo Treko and Manny Rodriguez (coming off his recent win over Shane Nix) will be very keen to put on a show in front of their home crowd.

Some of Australia’s best kickboxers will meet in some short, fast K-1 style bouts. Canberra’s Arlyn Owens will meet rising superstar Luis Regis, who has been making a name for himself lately with his superb technique and composure. Double Dragon’s own Rowan Sangster is matched to take on fellow Sydneysider Nick Rivera.

Other exciting match-ups are in the works, including the return of Heath McManus to the arena.
