http://www.globalgear.com.au

they have everything from spy gear to knives, etc.

but the reason i went looking for a place like this, was for this baby:

The knife from one of my fave movies of all time, the hunted..!
i spammed the shit out of that film here when it came out, talking about the knife fighting sequences, and the experts who came in, etc.
i vividly recall one of the trainers saying something like ’ in a knife fight, the loser will die…  the winner will most likely either die or end up in hospital’

i still watch that film a lot..!
almost as much as the imanari instructional juggs got me a while back, from japan.
gonna try and order one, tho im sure they are like 1k USD or something

That knife looks fucking insane.

What is it’s actual design purpose? (Slicing, cutting, de-boning, etc….. ?)

Goddamn I love that kinda shit. I’d like an audio tracker and NVGs so I can spy on peoples when the Chinese invade.

haha yeah,
it seriously is a hard core piece of work.
it can be attached to a stick and used as a spear, its top most saw tooth, can be used as a wire cutter, it is axe, machete, drill and saw all in one.
among others..
now i just gotta go camping more.
i’ll find the test video i saw of it.

this vid is of the red scorpion6 WSK, is an improved version(so they say) of the tom brown im getting
make sure you watch how easily it cuts through the 1200 rated webbing near the end of the clip. watch the ease and control it gives

Where abouts on the GC, I’ve been to the melbourne store but didn’t know there was one up here.

If you’re looking for good blades this guy is based in QLD and can get almost anything http://www.cuttingedgeknives.com.au/ . I got a Karmbit a while back. Good blade selection, good prices.

BTW - good movie the hunted.

So I buy a Tom Brown tracker the other day and I’m doing some searches for it here in Australia and low and behold I get brought back to Infinite.  Dunno how I missed this thread at the time.

Whats it like Zowie?  I’m a fan of that movie too.  It cops a bagging a bit but some things in it are really well done, and Benicio Del Toro is great in it.

its a cool knife mate. my bro and sis in law, both go camping a lot(he in airforce, she a girl guides leader).
he likes it and says it is well built, and would have its uses. she reckons its too unwiedly for what its meant to be used for, and suggests a camping axe/shovel plus a bear gryll’s type knife.
bear_01_hd.jpg

i love it, tho, being a fan of the movie and all..!
and for me personally, i get to try it out for the first time next month when we finally find time to go camping ourselves.
