The latest rankings are up on the frontpage of infinite. Not a huge amount of movement but still a few changes to see

maybe I’m a bit late on this one but what is the criteria to be in the rankings? eg certain amounts of fights, class of fight (are b or c class included)?
Reason I ask is going by the last cage wars Slyvester and Ben both had impressive records of 5-0 and 6-1 I think??
Shouldn’t both of them be in the welterweight division top 5??

Criteria is ‘a’ class fights only. No set number of fights needed. WE do use sherdog as our guide though and Ben is 3-2 on sherdog? If he has had more fights, this will need to get updated and I can do it.

While Sylvester and Ben are both up and comers in the most hotly contested division in Australia, they have not yet faced anyone that we consider top 5 fighter. Would you rank Ben ahead of guys like Matt Cain, Luke Picklum, Manuel Rodriguez or Shane Nix? Shane Nix has only lost to the number 1 ranked fighter, Matt Cain has only lost to fighters ranked in the top 5 and recently won overseas, while Luke Picklum had a good win over Matt Cain in his last appearance. Manuel Rodriguez is undefeated after 4 fights. Slvester is up there challenging, however Ben will need a few more wins to be ranked with the following guys.

Fighter record is not enough to have to have a fighter ranked, it is also about who they beat otherwise fighters will pad up their record like they do in boxing.

Thanks Zviggy, Yea I think most people would agree that Ben, Sly and Manuel haven’t faced the opponents the other guys have (yet) I was just curious as to how you score the ranks is all.  Almost need to have a score for each fighter like you see in the mags maybe?  Bags not having to work out how to score that either?  Tough job you guys have got, keep up the good work!
Welterweight surely is jam packed!

Thanks Bum. Welterweight is by far the most competitive, and in the near future it will be the division most likely to have a top 10. Some great match-ups in this weight division.

Yeah not so sure about scores. Just not sure how we score it.
