Great to see MMA getting busy again on the Gold Coast. We are looking forward to the event with the return of Warriors Realm 60kg Champ Mick Mortimer and also IMA’s exciting new welterweight Silvester Lidicky showcasing his skills. Should be a great event. See you guys there.

Can anyone tell me if this is an all ages event?.
I went to Brace for War with an under 18 year old ‘mate’ and it wasn’t a problem.

If the promoter posts on here can they please leave a contact number or PM me Please.
Or if someone can point me in the direction of the promoter it would be appreciated.

Might be good to give the Southport RSL a call and see what their rules are for these type of events.

What weight will Ebersole be fighting at?

Hitting 70 yet? or catchweight

Him vs Jai should be a decent stoush

Brian hit 158lb & stated 156 is very doable!  Will be a good fight with Jai who also walks near 80kg.  Hopefully we will see Brian fight at 155 soon.

Fights at 7.30 or 7??  Seeya there Juggs.

RESULTS..

Jai Bradney(Australia)- 5 Rings Dojo DEF Brian Ebersole(USA)- Fight and Fitness via SPLIT DEC,...
“I spoke to many around me and ALL had dif opinions as to who they thought won this fight. I, personally, think Jai did edge it out. Both fighters though put on an AMAZING fight and it was a great back and forth fight. I think a re-match might happen but one things for sure,..Jai is headed for bigger fights,..he looked fantastic”

Michael Mortimer(Australia)- Integrated MMA/Fairtex DEF Renato Viera(Brazil)- Sydney Gracie TTP via DEC ?
“I really like watching Mortimer fight, he’s gutsy and keeps coming at you…he’s going to be a great fighter”

93kgs
Andrew Dearsley- Siam Fitness DEF Michael Vandervlist- Penrith Elite via armbar
“Andrews jiu jitsu was slick, he worked a TIGHT kneebar, into an inverted heelhook, then to take top and dominate.”

77kgs
Manuel Rodriguez- Sydney Gracie TTP DEF Coby Jones- 5 Rings Dojo via armbar

77kg
Silvester Lidicky - Integrated MMA/Fairtex DEF Eli Van- Siam MMA via tapout (RNC, rnd1?) “Lidicky looked fantastic,..solid, strong and powerful!

I must add…

It was good to see Gold Coast/Brisbane MMA & Muay Thai crowds coming together and supporting the event. It was a who’s who of Muay Thai in the audience tonight.

Good event, but I must say, the general word from anyone (actually EVERYONE) who had a seat was once it hit the mat, you couldn’t see ANYTHING. The cage was up quite high. I, as well as many, gave up my seat and stood with the “standing section” for half the event. Outside that,..nice show and well paced. Congrats Mr C & Api!

Oh yeah,..and the wanker element has definitely jumped on our sport. Plenty of baseball cap FMX TapouT wearing “dudes” tonight. We’re doomed…

Thanks for the results Juggs, Jai has done an amazing job to get the win against such an experienced guy hes come avery long way in a fairly short amount of time.

Maybe you can do a doco on ‘MMA wankers’, there certianly plenty of subject matter, increasing by the day. Who are these people? Where do they come from? I dont see them at my gym or yours…

Congrats to everyone who stepped up, the more shows with quality fights the merrier.
