PRINCESSES OF PAIN: First Fight Confirmed

Just confirmed is the first fight of the card for America vs Australasia.* Fiona Muxlow of Australia is set to face Elaina Maxwell of America. This is a great match up of styles. Fiona is an expert grappler with strong standup skills, while Elaina is a powerful kickboxer with strong ground skills. Both ladies are well respected within their countries and have been actively training and competing for over a decade.

WHO WILL BE THE INTERNATIONL PRINCESSES OF PAIN CHAMPION

Fiona holds an MMA record of 3-0-0 and trains in Renshinkan MMA out of Kickstart Fitness Centre in Townsville, Australia

In addition to fighting in MMA, Fiona has won several competitions in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Submission Wrestling. She has also competed in Kyokushin Karate, Pangration, and Judo.

Elaina holds an MMA record of 2-2-0 with 1 KO. She has trained in San Shou kickboxing for 10 years and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 3 years out of California. She holds several international and American titles in San Shou and Muay Thai. In 2005, she was named Inside Kung Fu Competitor of the Year

Although all the fights on the night are looking to be on the edge of your seat stuff I am predicting the team competition and title could come down to these two exciting champions.

Fiona is the Australasian champion

BUT WHO WILL BE OUR INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION

Best Wishes!

March 1 Event Perth

Looking like 2008 will be a very telling year in combat sports, here in Perth.
Heaps of events coming up. Boxing, Kickboxing, MMA, and Sub-Grappling comps will keep the city busy.

Doing our part, Ron Parr is holding a March 1 event.

Our goal in promoting shows is to get the “younger” guys into the ring and gain experience. Shooto has provided a great opportunity for Pro level fighters. And the Boxing and Thai scene has always provided events.

That said, there are only so many Pro level MMA’ers in Perth. And it’s unfair to throw all the brave young boys to the wolves. This year, we hope to provide a safe and competitive arena for newer athletes to showcase/test their skills.

Anyone interested in competing in any fashion (Pro/Amateur/Demo), please contact me at eiuwrestler174@hotmail.com

As I’ve explained to the Head Trainers that I’ve spoken to, we’ll make the rules suit the engagement. Amateur MMA, Competetive Sub-grappling, and even demo bouts (mma or grappling) are all expected to be part of the show.

Athletes can be matched with opponents within their own gym, if that’s a way to have them compete. Just looking to let guys have a play. It’s a great way to get integrated into the game, and feel the pressure of a crowd and an event without the nerves of being KO’d in front of your woman and/or co-workers.

Again, eiuwrestler174@hotmail.com 0402 992 942
