Here is an article from www.theleader.com.au about Bernardo Trekko Magalhaes fighting in UFC

BERNARDO "Trekko" Magalhaes will be forced to drop a weight class if he is to make his mark in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) after losing his debut fight last week.
Magalhaes gave away an irrepressible height and reach advantage to Tim "The Dirty Bird" Means in Nebraska, US, on Thursday. The size difference became too much for Magalhaes who lost by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-26, 30-26) in the three-round fight.

"I've never fought anyone so different," Magalhaes said. "I couldn't reach him and I couldn't connect my punches. I missed 90 to 95 per cent and for the first time I got frustrated."

A first round ankle injury prevented Magalhaes' natural movement and favoured wrestling techniques.

"They changed the opponent two weeks before the fight so I didn't have time to work on this guy," Magalhaes said. "I'm not making excuses. Only good things can come from this."

Fighting at lightweight (70.3 kilograms) Magalhaes said his time in the US had shown that if he wants to compete he needs to fight at featherweight (65.8).

"The guys at lightweight are bigger and taller than me," Magalhaes said. "At featherweight they are more my size and strength."

Magalhaes, who runs the TP Gym at Cronulla, has a 12-month, four-fight deal with the UFC. He expected to jump back into the octagon within the next four months.
