Next David Tua bout could be in Sydney

Story by stuff.co.nz

David Tua is planning a return to the ring on November 25 but his promoter says he will shun an offer of a world title eliminator against New Zealand heavyweight champion Chauncy Welliver despite it guaranteeing him a shot at champion Wladimir Klitschko.

The Sunday Star-Times has learned Tua is being lined up for a ring return on a Sydney card by leading Australian promoter Grange Old School Boxing, and potential opponents in former Australian league international Solomon Haumono, world title contender Kali Meehan and Welliver have all been touted.

Kerr, Petit and Hansen take the Titles on TUFFA 7 Stacked - Results

TUFFA headed to Campbelltown last night for its 7th show "stacked" at the Campbelltown RSL. There were 3 title fights on the show and Daniel Kerr defeated Steve Cook via TKO to take the 84kg title, Jacob Petit defeated current title holder Mike Anderson via rear naked choke in round 2 to take the 70kg title and Ben Hansen defeated Glenn Taylor-Smith via triangle to take the 65kg title.

This is what the Promoter had to say about the fights

Awesome Fights tonight:

Thanks to all the fighters and Gyms that supported Tuffa again.

Once again Big thanks to all the Tuffa Crew, MMAOA officials, Doc’s and CSA.

This was another action packed Night - Three New Tuffa champions Ben Hansen Daniel Kerr and Jacob Pettit.

Special Mention about Steve Cook - Fought most of the 1st round with a broken arm from a devastating kick. Copped an illegal elbow that stunned him (Dan is a MT fighter and this was just instinct) and many fighters would have stopped when given the opportunity by the doctor. But Steve Cook Is just One Tuff Guy.

BT.
